Since the passage of public law 100-9 by Congress in 1987, the month of March has been celebrated as Women’s History Month in the United States.
The United Kingdom and Australia also celebrate Women's History Month in March, which coincides with International Women’s Day on March 8, a day that has been honored across the globe since the early 1900s.
